What A Precious Name! – Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional September 29th

(Do All Things In His Name)

TO THE BIBLE: Philippians 2:9 NASB
“For this reason also God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name.”

LET’S TALK
The Bible says that, at the mention of the Name of Jesus, every knee should bow. This is the sovereign decree of Almighty God; it is a law in the spiritual realm.

When the Name of Jesus is called, everyone must submit to it in heaven, on earth, and under the earth. It is impossible to resist the power of His Name, and this is the Name He has given us to live by.

The Bible instructs us, “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus…” (Colossians 3:17 NIV).

Do you understand what this means? Many people pray in the Name of Jesus, but for some, it is merely a religious practice or tradition. Some don’t even believe, yet they pray in His Name anyway. But for those of us who believe in Him, that name is precious!

The Bible declares in Mark 16:17-18 NIV, “And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” Hallelujah! Just imagine all that we can do in His Name. Isn’t it amazing?

In His Name, we have the authority to cast out demons. If anything deadly enters our bodies, it will not harm us. In His Name, we heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, and even raise the dead.

The Bible says, “…How incredibly great is his power to help those who believe him! It is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in heaven, far above any other king or ruler or dictator or leader.

Yes, his honor is far more glorious than that of anyone else either in this world or in the world to come” (Ephesians 1:19-21 TLB).

He has given us such great authority so that we can bring about positive change in our world. He has given us His Name so that we can use it to dominate and influence this world for His glory and establish His righteousness throughout the earth. And we are doing just that. Praise God!
