Use The Name! – Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional September 13th

(Expect Results When You Use The Name Of Jesus)

TO THE BIBLE: Acts 3:6
“Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.””

LET’S TALK
“Jesse, how did you open that door? It’s been locked for ages,” Jesse’s mom inquired.
“Oh, I tried to open it too, but it seemed jammed. So, I said to it, ‘Open up in Jesus’ Name!’ and it did.”
“Really? That’s amazing, Jesse.”
“Yes, Mom. You should use the Name more often too.”

The Bible tells us about a man in Acts 3 who was laid daily at the gate of the temple to beg for alms. He had been lame since birth and was over 40 years old.

One day, as Peter and John were going into the temple, the man reached out to them for alms. They stopped, and Peter spoke up, saying, “I don’t have silver or gold, but what I have, I give you. In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”

With confidence in a miracle, Peter took the man by the right hand, lifted him up, and the man’s ankle bones received strength. He was gloriously healed by the power of God (read Acts 3:1-10).

Jesus has given us the authority to use His Name and to call upon His Name in different situations and circumstances. His Name carries all power; use it with expectation.

If you believe in Jesus Christ, you must trust His Name. You should use His Name with confidence and faith.

When Peter said to the man, “In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk,” the Bible says the man’s ankle bones received strength. Although no one saw his bones receiving strength, there was a spiritual change when the Name of Jesus was invoked.

You may not see it until you take action, and you act because you have faith and expectation. If Peter had not expected a miracle, he wouldn’t have pulled the man up.

Each one of us in Christ Jesus, who has received the Holy Spirit, has something to offer to our city, state, nation, and the entire world. He has sent us in His Name to proclaim the Good News, that righteousness has come and eternal life is now available.

Go out with the expectation that many will receive your message and turn to righteousness. Hallelujah!
