Keep The Glow On! – Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional September 30th

(Sustain The Glory Through Prayer)

TO THE BIBLE: John 12:28 NIV
““Father, glorify your name!” Then a voice came from heaven, “I have glorified it, and will glorify it again.””

LET’S TALK
Luke, inspired by the Holy Spirit, records the remarkable event of Jesus’ transfiguration on the Mount as He prayed: “As he was praying, the appearance of his face changed, and his clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning” (Luke 9:29 NIV). That means the glory increased.

However, it’s important to note that this glory and power originated from within Him. It is a transformation that each one of us can and should experience through praying in the Holy Spirit.

If you only engage in brief moments of prayer, you may struggle to sustain the glory or witness it gradually fading away. This is the secret.

For instance, when we minister to others and lay hands on them, it does something for them at that moment.

But it’s a completely different thing for that power to stay. To maintain the ongoing impact of the glory, you must commit yourself to prayer, particularly praying in the Spirit.

You can’t spend your time in godless chatter and experience this. 2 Timothy 2:15-16 (AMPC) says, “Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth. But avoid all empty (vain, useless, idle) talk, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness.”

If you truly desire to see your life progress from one level of glory to another, it is essential to abstain from empty and futile conversations. Instead, immerse yourself in the ministry of the Word and engage in praying in the Spirit.

If you have been diligent in studying the Word and beholding the glory of God (2 Corinthians 3:18 AMPC), you have made a significant connection. Hold on to that experience and allow it to permeate your being. Sustain it through prayer and meditation on the Word.

Pray:
Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for your Word that has come to my spirit today; I’m transfigured, and the glory is resplendent even in my countenance as I pray in the spirit. I’m transformed in every area of my life, from glory to glory, and the light of your Word shines forth brightly in me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
