We’re Kingdom Carriers – Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional March 29th

(Bearers Of The Kingdom And The Glory)

TO THE BIBLE: 1 Thessalonians 2:10-12
“That you would walk worthy of God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory.”

LET’S TALK
According to the teachings of Jesus, the kingdom of God has already come. In fact, the Bible says that the kingdom is in our hearts, letting you know that it’s a spiritual kingdom: “…The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, “See here!” or “See there!” For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17:20–21).

We’re not “on our way” to the kingdom; no! We carry the kingdom in us. Not only are we in the kingdom, but we’re also bearers of the kingdom. In that kingdom, there’s glory. The two aren’t separate.

The Bible also talks about the glory of this kingdom. Just as we’ve answered the calling for the kingdom; we’ve also answered the calling for the glory: “To which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ” (2 Thessalonians 2:14).

We’ve obtained glory. Hallelujah! No wonder Jesus said in John 17:22 in His prayer to the Father, “…The glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one” (John 17:22). Paul said in Romans 8:30 that we’ve been glorified.

This glory is an eternal one, and it’s inherent in our spirits: “…May the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus…” (1 Peter 5:10). Praise God!

The Bible describes this glory as “excellent glory” (2 Peter 1:17). 2 Corinthians 3:10 calls it “the glory that excels.” This is the glory of the kingdom to which we belong and which we bear. 2 Peter 1:3 says we’ve been called to glory and excellence. Hallelujah!

1 Peter 2:9 AMPC takes it further and says we’re to “…set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light.”

The reason we can show forth His glory—display His virtues and perfection—is that we’re bearers of the same. So, give expression to His glory in your world and impact others with the life of the kingdom.

Speak:
I’m a bearer of the power, glory, and dominion of the Kingdom of God. The kingdom expands in me and through me; my world and environment are impacted by the glory of God. I walk in the consciousness and reality of my present-hour location in Christ and manifest His righteousness to the glory of His Name. Amen.
