Rhapsody of Realities TeeVo Devotional 19th August – Don’t Negotiate With The Devil

(Satan And His Demons Are Inferior and Subject To You)

TO THE BIBLE: Mark 16:17 NIV
“…These signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues.”

LET’S TALK
“Do you realise the devil is a fraud?” the Pastor bellowed, “he’s been thoroughly defeated and doesn’t have the power people think he has!”

“Hmmm, I don’t think the Pastor should talk about the devil that way; he’s quite dangerous, you know,” Nicholas mumbled to his friend, as he shifted uncomfortably in his seat.

“Devils are not a threat to us, Nic,” his friend reassured him. “The highest of them are way below our class; they’re under our feet, remember?”

The Word of God lets us know that satan’s kingdom has a hierarchical structure, but it’s important to understand that we’re not at all on the same level with him and his demons, no matter how high-ranking they are.

We’re seated together with Christ in the heavenly realms, far above all principality, power, might, dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come. We’re superior to satan and the forces of darkness.

In dealing with demons, we don’t struggle at all. We don’t bandy words with them; rather, we give them orders. When you tell the devil to come out, he’s under obligation to heed your voice because you’re addressing him in the Name of Jesus.

Jesus used the strongest terms possible to describe how we should treat demons. He said, “Cast out devils!” That means “expel” or “eject” them! It’s like grabbing a little monkey by the neck, and flinging it vehemently out the window. That’s what Jesus said to do to devils in His Name.

Satan and his demons are inferior and subject to you because you’ve been vested with all the authority in the Name of Jesus. So don’t ever negotiate with them; cast them out with your words!

Once you perceive that satan or his demons are responsible for a situation, irrespective of where it is, tell them off in the Name of Jesus, and they’ll scamper away in terror.

Pray:
Dear Father, thank you for the victory I have in Christ Jesus. I’ve been given the power of attorney to use the Name of Jesus over satan and the cohorts of hell, and dominate circumstances. My life is an endless stream of the miraculous because I live in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
