Rhapsody of Realities TeeVo Devotional 18th August – Never Accept Satan’s Lies

(Scrutinise Everything You Hear With God’s Word)

TO THE BIBLE: Romans 1:16 NIV
“I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.”

LET’S TALK
Did you know that one of the ways a Christian can open himself or herself up to the devil is by believing his lies? When someone believes God’s truth, he opens himself up for God’s Spirit to work in him.

If, on the other hand, he believes satan’s lies, the devil can gain a foothold in and ultimately manipulate his life. This is why you should judge and scrutinize everything you hear by God’s Word, and never accept satan’s opinion about anything.

Demons can come into someone’s life through fear because like begets like; you attract to yourself what’s already in your spirit. If you have faith, you attract the spirit of faith. If you have fear, you attract the spirit of fear, and fear brings demons into a person’s life.

Fear is actually faith in satan’s ability; it’s faith in the ability of evil to defeat you. That’s why you should never allow fear in your heart, the same way you should never allow unbelief, bitterness, and anger. These are all tools of the adversary, which can open a door for satan to plunder people’s lives.

What if a Christian has unwittingly allowed devils into his or her life through any of these avenues? Thank God, there’s a way out! This is where the power of God’s Word comes to play.

If that individual would study and meditate on God’s Word, he wouldn’t even need someone to pray for him. The same way those devils came in, they’ll also leave unannounced. That’s the power of God’s Word. God’s Word is light, and where the light shines, darkness flees.

This is the perfect antidote for fear. As you receive God’s Word, faith comes to you, dispelling fear. And as fear leaves, so does the spirit of fear. God’s Word is the answer. It’s what you need for a glorious, excellent, and victorious life.

Pray
Dear Father, I thank you for the power of your Word and its ability to transform, purify, strengthen me, and build my faith strong! I give no room to doubt and unbelief, but believe and receive your truths always! My heart is continually being purified and enlightened by your Word, and satan has nothing in me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
