Rhapsody of Realities TeeVo Devotional 16th July – Please God With Your Life

(When You Please God, It’ll Be Evident)

TO THE BIBLE: Hebrews 11:5 MSG
“By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.” For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God.”

LET’S TALK
Enoch was one of the two people in the Old Testament who defied death (the other was Elijah); the Bible says he “walked steadily with God. And then one day he was simply gone: God took him” (Genesis 5:24 MSG). This shows you the kind of man he was. He was a prophet of God who saw the vision of the Lord coming with thousands upon thousands of His saints (Read Jude 1:14-15).

How could someone have such visions? We just read in our opening verse that before his translation into heaven, he had the testimony that he pleased God. In other words, Enoch knew that he pleased God with his life. That lets you know that when you please God with your life, you know it; you don’t have to guess whether or not you do.

It takes faith to please God, for “without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6).

If someone says, “Oh God, I don’t know whether you’re pleased with me or not; please have mercy on me and be pleased with me,” that person is walking in ignorance. If you’re walking in love and living by faith, then rest assured that you’re pleasing the Father.

Faith works by love (Galatians 5:6). Moreover, Romans 14:23 tells us that whatsoever is not of faith is sin. In other words, God isn’t pleased with anything done outside of faith.

When you’re walking by faith and manifesting the love of God, you’ll know in your spirit that your life is pleasing to Him. The Holy Spirit will bear witness with your spirit that you’re pleasing the Father; you’ll know! Hallelujah. Learn to walk with God by walking in love and faith in His Word!
