Prepare For The Eternal City – Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional May 8th

(Your Life Here Is In Preparation For That City)

TO THE BIBLE – Revelation 21:1-2 KJV
“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.”

LET’S TALK
Did you know that the major reason we’re in this world is to prepare for another world? This world was never God’s final dream.

Everything we do here on earth is in preparation for the eternal city that will come from God and be established in the new earth.

God’s plan is to create another city and another earth. The Bible tells us that this current earth will be completely destroyed and replaced with a new one—new heavens and a new earth.

In this new world, there will be a massive city where you and I will live with the Lord and His holy angels forever. The height of the city will be as long as it is wide—imagine that! The distance is like taking a six-hour flight, both in length and height. What a city that will be!

Outside this city, there will be people from all over the world, forming nations. The Bible says they will come through the gates of the city regularly to worship the King.

But we, the saints, will always be with Him inside the city, the New Jerusalem. Hallelujah! That city will be the ultimate headquarters, and we will be working alongside Him at the centre of it all.

So, everything you do here on earth is preparing you for that eternal city. Keep working for the Lord, keep following His call, and don’t fall short. Finish everything He’s asked you to do.

The most important thing to God is the human soul—that’s why Jesus came. So, continue reaching out to others, sharing the Gospel, and making a difference in the lives of those around you. Help them get ready to live forever with the Lord in our amazing eternal city when the time comes.
