(You Have Peace With God Through Jesus)
TO THE BIBLE: Philippians 4:8
“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.”
LET’S TALK
As one who’s born again, you have an excellent mind because the Bible says, “We have the mind of Christ” (1 Corinthians 2:16). That’s a mind that’s sanctified by the Word of God to think on things that are true, honest, just, pure, of good report, virtuous, and praiseworthy.
An excellent mind doesn’t hold grudges or get caught up in gossip. It doesn’t dwell on negativity but is full of love.
You have to choose what you allow into your thoughts; filter out the bad and let in only what helps you grow. If you want to live an excellent life, it starts with thinking excellent thoughts!
An excellent mind is also creative and innovative; it refuses to settle for mediocrity. In every class, workplace, or team, there’s always that one person who stands out, not because they seek attention, but because they give their best in everything, think differently, and always find ways to improve.
While others settle for “good enough,” this person is innovative, forward-thinking, and inventive. That’s the power of an excellent mind. It does excellent things as a personal policy, no half-measures!
Whether you’re in school, at work, or even doing chores, don’t just go through the motions. Look for better ways to do things!
Research, learn, and most importantly, pray in the Spirit. When you do, the Holy Spirit will flood your mind with the most creative strategies to deploy in taking your work to the next level.
God wants to commit so much into the hands of excellent characters. Therefore, show yourself worthy through your appreciation and application of His Word.
Refine the potentials within your spirit, and you’ll be excellent in everything the Lord entrusts to you. Glory to God!
