(Having Joy In The Midst Of Trouble)

TO THE BIBLE: 2 Corinthians 7:4 MSG
“I have, in fact, the greatest confidence in you. If only you knew how proud I am of you! I am overwhelmed with joy despite all our troubles.”

LET’S TALK
You would rarely find Sam with a frown or experiencing a bad day; the likelihood of such occurrences was extremely low.

Instead, he always carried a gentle smile and exuded happiness and joy. The secret behind this constant joy was the influence of God’s Word in Sam’s heart and expressed through his words; it shaped and directed his life each day.

Is it possible to maintain joy even in the midst of troubles and challenges? Emphatically yes! That’s our life in Christianity. It makes no difference what we face; we’re unruffled and full of joy because we know the end from the beginning! We always win.

2 Corinthians 4:17 says, “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.” This is God’s Word; it can’t be overturned. No wonder James said, “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials” (James 1:2).

Regardless of how intense the challenges or pressures become, we never utter, “I can’t handle it anymore.” Instead, we remain steadfast and unshakable. Getting flustered is not our style, as it’s our nature to triumph.

We face difficulties with cheerfulness; we’re “strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy” (Colossians 1:11). Glory to God!

Always remember that life’s adversities are the opportunities for your greatness to be tested and manifested.

Therefore, in the face of opposition, always declare, “Greater is He that’s in me, than he that’s in the world!” Victory is in your spirit.

This was the understanding of the Apostle Paul when he said, “I rejoice in my infirmities; I welcome trouble” (2 Corinthians 12:9). Have the same consciousness.

Welcome challenges! Christ lives in you! With His Word in your heart and in your mouth, you’ll withstand any test and always prevail. Hallelujah!
