Rhapsody of Realities TeeVo Devotional 1st August – Stay Joyful 24-7!

(The Lord Wants You Full of Joy Always)

TO THE BIBLE: 1 Peter 1:8 NASB
“And though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory.”

LET’S TALK
The Lord Jesus’ desire is for His joy to be in you twenty-four hours a day, irrespective of the circumstances you face daily. He never had a “blue” day when He walked the streets of Nazareth, Capernaum, Judea, Jerusalem, etc.; He was always joyful even in the midst of great persecution and treachery.

Today, in the New Testament, He’s given you joy that’s independent of the happenings around you—it’s a joy that flows from your spirit—a joy that’s unspeakable and full of glory! He said in John 15:11: “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.” The Master wants you full of joy every second of your day.

Did you know that demons attach themselves to people to make them restless, confused, sad, and depressed? If the devil can knock the joy out of you, he has you in a corner. That’s why you must make a personal choice to be full of joy ALWAYS! The Bible says, “…the joy of the Lord is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10). That joy is in your spirit; so, stir it up all the time.

One way to fan aflame the joy in your spirit is to fellowship with the Holy Spirit. You’re born into Christ—the environment of the Spirit—where there’s life and joy. Those who function outside this environment are the ones who get easily agitated, bitter and frustrated, because nothing seems to work out in their lives. And they often inflict their frustrations, unhappiness, and hurt on others. Don’t be that way.

Refuse to wear a long face as though the weight of the world was on your shoulders. Jesus has brought you into His joy, abundance, and peace. Philippians 4:4 NASB says, “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!” This is an instruction from the Lord! Make it a point of duty to always give thanks, and be glad in everything and at all times.
