Love Versus Hate – Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional September 3rd

(Undeterred By The Spirit Of The World)

TO THE BIBLE: Matthew 10:22 CEV
“Everyone will hate you because of me. But if you remain faithful until the end, you will be saved.”

LET’S TALK
Shawn is a young, bold, and passionate Christian who fearlessly sparks conversations about Jesus with his friends.

Little did he anticipate that his courage in sharing the Gospel would result in rejection from those he once considered close.

Nevertheless, Shawn remained undeterred. With unwavering determination, he remained resolute in his mission to proclaim the Gospel to them, understanding that their animosity stemmed from their lack of knowledge about Jesus.

The world unwittingly directs its hostility towards us, not because of our individual identities but because of who we represent—the Lord Jesus Christ.

They will despise you for your unwavering faith in Him. No matter how virtuous, helpful, kind, or successful you may be, it will make no difference to them. They’ll persecute you because you’re associated with the Lord.

The devil’s hatred for Jesus is referred to as “the spirit of the world.” Even individuals who have little knowledge of Jesus still harbour a deep-seated hatred towards Him, and it leaves us questioning why.

How can they loathe someone they barely know? It’s because of the spirit of the world. It has captured a lot of people in the world, and it moves them in a way that makes them think about the Master with hatred.

They want religion, they want to pray, and they want to believe in something, but when you tell them about Jesus, they reject Him vehemently.

A man named Simeon prophesied that Jesus would be “…a sign which will be spoken against” (Luke 2:34).

Presently, there are individuals who label our proclamation of Jesus as “hate speech” when we say that He is the only way. They twist many of our words into expressions of hatred, thereby setting the stage for the massive persecution of Christians in these last days.

However, Jesus already told us in Matthew 10:25, “…If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more will they call those of his household!”

When persecution arises, always remember that you were sent not in your own name but in the Name of Jesus. Therefore, the Lord Himself will be your defence and reward. Hallelujah!

Speak:
I am Christ’s ambassador, the bearer of the news of His saving power. I remain steadfast and undaunted, always abounding in the work of the Lord, regardless of the distress or persecution in this world. I triumph gloriously in Him always, boldly proclaiming the righteousness and blessedness of Christ and His saving power to the ends of the earth. Amen!
