(Live Like The Divine Being You Are)

TO THE BIBLE: Ephesians 4:24 NIV
“…Put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”

LET’S TALK
Just as a growing child learns to imitate and copy the parents in the way they walk, talk and behave, we’re to “imitate God” as His beloved children (Ephesians 5:1).

It’s amazing that the life of God within us enables us to do just that. We have the ability to walk in absolute mastery and dominion on earth, just as Jesus did, because as He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17).

When you’re born again, you’re born after the Second Adam, Jesus Christ; you’re created in righteousness and true holiness, just like Him. 2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation….”

This new creation has the nature of God. That’s why you can please God and live a life like Christ’s.

Think about it this way: no matter how much you train a dog to act like a human, it can never truly be human because it doesn’t have human life. To be human, you have to be born that way.

Similarly, we’re Godlike and can imitate our heavenly Father because we were born with His life and nature in us. This is why we can do the same things Jesus did.

Jesus Himself said in John 14:12, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also….” You have the power to heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, and cast out demons, just like Jesus did.

He has given you authority in His Name. And not only that, we can imitate Him in our love-walk. Ephesians 5:2 says, “…Walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.”

His nature within you enables you to show love to those around you, whether they deserve it or not. How awesome is that!
