TO THE BIBLE: 3 John 1:2
“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”

LET’S TALK
Today’s study begins with an amazing verse that reflects God’s intention for your life.

Remember, all Scripture is given by the inspiration of God (2 Timothy 3:16), and God’s desire, above all else, is for you to prosper.

I know some Christians have problems with the teaching on prosperity. Well, 3 John 1:2 proves that God is interested in your complete prosperity: material, physical, and spiritual.

Let’s delve deeper into the opening verse: “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”

Some individuals may be thriving spiritually but facing lack in their physical or material circumstances.

I’m referring to Christians who are living upright lives, yet they struggle with sickness and financial difficulties.

However, the Spirit of God declares, “I desire that you prosper in your health and finances, just as your spirit prospers.”

It is crucial for such individuals to believe in material and physical prosperity to achieve a balanced life, as desired by God.

The latter part of the verse emphasizes the prosperity of your soul, which holds spiritual priority. God wants you to prosper materially and be in good health.

While healing is great, being in good health means not needing healing because you don’t get sick. Hallelujah!

So, what’s the secret to a life of abundant prosperity? How can you prosper in your spirit, soul, and body?

The Bible says, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom…” (Colossians 3:16).

If you immerse yourself in God’s Word, allowing it to permeate your being, you will prosper spiritually, and consequently, in your physical and material aspects as well, because the greater encompasses the lesser.

Give yourself wholly to the Word. Study and meditate on it. Keep it inside you until it continually flows from your mouth in every situation.
