Divine Health-Now! – Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional July 29th

(You’re Free From Sickness And Disease)

TO THE BIBLE: Matthew 8:16-17
“When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.””

LET’S TALK
Back in the Old Testament, the nation of Israel had their sins atoned for once every year by the high priest who slaughtered an animal and offered its blood as sacrifice before the altar of God.

The high point of this atonement was when the high priest took a goat called “the scapegoat,” laid his hands on it, confessed all the sins of the people on it, then handed it over to a fit-man who led it to the wilderness to perish. This was repeated every year, until Christ paid the ultimate price.

In today’s opening Scripture, the Greek word used for “bore” is bataso, meaning “to bear or take away something, to remove, or to take the burden of another upon oneself.”

The original rendering of this Scripture connotes a Levitical contemplation of Christ’s sacrifice for us, which eradicates completely the yearly rituals of atonement by the blood of a goat.

Christ didn’t only pay the ultimate price for us to be saved; He also paid the full price for us to be free from all kinds of sicknesses, diseases and infirmities.

As a child of God, therefore, you should never allow sickness attach itself to your body, because Christ satisfied all that was required for you to live in health.

Divine health is yours now by right as a new creation in Christ Jesus. If you’ve been sick because of your ignorance of what Jesus accomplished for you, let this truth sink into your spirit and permeate your entire being.

Don’t allow the devil intimidate you with his tricks, which may come as symptoms. Insist on a healthy life, free from infirmity, because this is God’s will for you.
