Are You Word-Focused? – Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional February 27th

(Practise Meditation On God’s Word)

TO THE BIBLE: 1 Timothy 4:15
“Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all.”

LET’S TALK
Reid always had it difficult with his studies; his scores came back full of “F’s” whenever he assessed his work after an exam or test.

“I’ve tried everything I know; now I feel like giving up on school altogether because it seems I’ll never succeed at it no matter how hard I try!” he moped.

Nate, a friend of his sitting close by, heard the Holy Spirit say to him, “Talk to Reid about meditation.”

Nate went over and showed him what Joshua 1:8 and 1 Timothy 4:15 say about meditating on God’s Word. Reid put God’s Word to work, and it helped him in his studies and his grades improved dramatically.

You may be reading this and wondering, “What connection does meditating on God’s Word possibly have with my academic success?”

The Bible does show where the connection lies; Joshua 1:8 says, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

Meditation is defined as a deep, continuous contemplation of a subject; when you focus your thoughts on any part of God’s Word concerning you this way, he says it’ll empower you and cause you to do what it says, and as you do the Word, you’ll make your own way prosperous and have good success (Joshua 1:8), and your progress will be evident to all (1 Timothy 4:15).

So, you see, it’s up to you, really. You can be as successful, prosperous, and victorious as you choose to be. The secret is meditating on the Word of God.
