Rhapsody of Realities TeeVo Devotional 8th June – A Glory-Filled Life

A GLORY-FILLED LIFE
(Fulfil God’s Purpose And Walk In Your Glorious Destiny)

TO THE BIBLE: Hebrews 10:7
“…I said, ‘Behold, I have come—in the volume of the book it is written of Me—to do Your will, O God.’”

LET’S TALK
“Why was I born? I don’t think I’m meant to be here!” Joan thought after her older brother told her some hurtful words, all because she mistakenly broke his favourite game console.

“How could you ever do anything right, Miss Clumsy!” were his words ringing in her ears and they hurt even more when he said, “Your friends are out there buying gifts for me; you’re here breaking them!”

It took Sally, Joan’s friend, a while to calm her and show her from God’s Word that she wasn’t clumsy but glorious; she showed her that God made her for a purpose, in spite of all what she had heard from her at-the-time angry brother.

As a Christian, you’ve got a glorious destiny and God-given purpose. The Lord Jesus, while He walked the earth, lived out the perfect will of God; He walked in a preordained destiny. He located His purpose in the written Word, and fulfilled the glorious things that had been spoken of Him (read Luke 4:17-21). The Master knew what His identity, purpose and mission were; they were all clearly spelt out in the Word.

Psalm 87:3 says, “Glorious things are spoken of you, O city of God…”; that refers to you—the new creation in Christ Jesus—you’re the city of God. Glorious things are spoken of you—your inheritance, status, ability, liberty, and privileges—in Christ Jesus. Your responsibility is to look into the Word to locate, and enter into, the glorious things that are written of you, and fulfil your destiny.

Your destiny is clearly shown in God’s Word, and it’s not determined by your family background, country of residence or the government of the day. You’ve been destined for greatness, set apart for a life of victory and triumph from glory to glory.

1 John 4:4 shows that you originate from God, and you’re already victorious over Satan and the adversities of life. This is your destiny. Personalise this and other glorious things written of you in the Word, and walk in the light of them. Hallelujah!
