Whose Report Will You Believe? – Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional March 1st

(Believe And Act On The Truth)

TO THE BIBLE: John 8:32 NIV

“…You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

LET’S TALK
A young man who had been diagnosed with tuberculosis came to visit me one day. He was experiencing chest discomfort and coughing up blood. It seemed extremely severe. When he pulled out the diagnostic report to show me, I asked him, “Do you believe Christ lives in you?”

His response was “Yes.” “Then that implies you can’t have tuberculosis,” I explained, “since the life of Christ in you is immune to any kind of sickness, disease, or infection.” On hearing and believing this, he returned to the doctors, and they confirmed that he was tuberculosis-free. Hallelujah!

One might then ask the question: “Why do people get sick?” The reason is they neither know the Lord Jesus nor the truth. “What about those who have heard the true Gospel of divine health and yet are still unwell or diseased?” someone else might wonder.

That’s simple! They don’t believe the Gospel that they’ve heard! Because when you believe the Gospel, it changes your life! “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free,” Jesus declared in John 8:32 (NIV).

Remember, the Lord Jesus never lied to anyone, ever! When you say, “I have tuberculosis,” for instance, how did you know? Maybe you felt signs and symptoms such as coughing for days, coughing up blood or mucus, chest pain, etc. These made you believe that you have tuberculosis. But why don’t you also find out what God says about you? What are the signs of God’s presence in your life?

Whose report will you believe? God’s or the medical diagnostics’? The one you believe is the one you’ll respond to. If you believe in the signs and symptoms of sickness, you’ll act sick and sickly.

But when you act on God’s Word, a transformation takes place; you’ll realise that since Christ is in you, you live by the Spirit, and no disease or infirmity can thrive in your body. Glory to God!

Speak:
I’ve been given an indestructible life that’s superior to that of the ordinary guy. My new life originated from God’s Word, and it’s unsullied; it remains forever because the Holy Spirit, who perambulates my body, inundates it with divine life, ridding me of every infirmity. The old life that’s subject to sickness has been replaced by the life of God. I believe this truth, and I live by it! Glory to God!
