What’s Your Mind Fixed On? – Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional February 7th

(Be Spiritually Minded And Enjoy Life And Peace)

TO THE BIBLE: Romans 8:6 RSV
“To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.”

LET’S TALK
Don’t you just love the Scriptures? Think about what we’ve just read in Romans 8:6: It says that if you’re carnally minded, it leads to death. However, if you’re spiritually-minded, you’ll experience life and peace.

It’s a simple scripture, but absolutely profound! Being carnally-minded means you set your mind on things of the flesh, while being spiritually minded means you set your mind on things of the Spirit.

Being spiritually or carnally minded is about the work of your mind, where you focus your attention. Carnally-minded people only respond to the things of this world; they’re ruled by the flesh.

So, examine your life; are you living in agitation? Is your life devoid of peace? When people are flustered, distraught, disturbed, and confused, it’s because they’re not spiritually minded.

The Word is clear: when you’re spiritually minded, you’ll have life and peace. Your focus then, at all times, should be on God’s Word and the eternal realities of the Kingdom. That way, in the midst of troubles and chaos, you’d always have peace—a life without agitations!

Isaiah 26:3 declares that God keeps in perfect peace, in the peace of prosperity, the one whose mind is focused on Him: “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.”

So, to enjoy the life of peace that God only gives, set your mind’s focus on the things of the Spirit.

Speak:
I do what the Word says always; therefore, I experience such indescribable peace from within; I’m at peace in the midst of the storms. I live worry-free because Christ is my all! In Him, I’m self-sufficient, enabled to do all things, and supernaturally supplied and fortified for the triumphant life! Glory be to God!
