Together Forever – Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional March 11th

(He Took Your Place While You Took His Place)

TO THE BIBLE: Ephesians 2:4-6
“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”

LET’S TALK
“How could I ever fail? How could I get sick? I am united with the Lord in spirit, soul, and body!” On his walk home from church one evening, Jesse muttered these words to himself.

He had just learned that he was one with the Lord in every aspect, and he instantly realised that his life had changed forever! He used to be terrified of school bullies and was a frequent visitor at the hospital. But that was no more because he had now come to understand who he was in Christ.

Yes, God wants us all to catch this message and take it to the ends of the earth. He says, “You who were dead in trespasses and sins, He has made alive together with Christ.”

In other words, when Jesus was on the Cross, we were united with Him in His death. He died as “us” on the Cross. He was “us” on the Cross. When He was crucified, we were crucified in Him. When He died, we died. Hallelujah!

When He was buried, we were buried with Him. When God raised Him back to life, we were raised back to life, too. We’ve been raised up together and made to sit together with Him in heavenly places.

He has become the head of the body; together, we’re now “Christ,” because we died in Him, were buried in Him, and were raised back to life in Him. Now we’re one with Him! The Bible says, “…He who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him” (1 Corinthians 6:17).

We’re joint-heirs with Him (Romans 8:17). We’re together as one. Hallelujah! Ephesians 1:22-23 says, “…He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all….”

He’s the one who fills everything (Ephesians 4:10), yet His fullness is the Church, which is His body. We’re His completeness, and we’re complete in Him: “For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power” (Colossians 2:9-10). Praise God!

Speak:
I’ve been baptised into the body of Christ, brought into union with divinity. When Christ was raised from the dead, I was raised up together with Him. Now that He’s seated on the throne, I’m seated together with Him in the place of dominion, glory, and authority. Blessed be God!
