The Reigning Church – Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional May 19th

(The Church’s Dominion Is Forever)

TO THE BIBLE: Matthew 16:18 AMPC
“And I tell you, you are Peter [Greek, Petros—a large piece of rock], and on this rock [Greek, petra—a huge rock like Gibraltar] I will build My church, and the gates of Hades (the powers of the infernal region) shall not overpower it [or be strong to its detriment or hold out against it].”

LET’S TALK
“Dad, is there any reason why the Church has been persecuted and hated these past two thousand years?” asked Gabriel.
“Well, the simple reason is that the Church has an enemy, satan, that’s why. Yet with all his antics, the Church keeps on reigning over and dominating his cohorts,” replied Gabriel’s dad.

Some people today are astounded that the Church of Jesus Christ is still growing stronger, bigger, and more effective than ever. I wonder what they thought!

They had speculated and were certain that their nefarious plans would consume the Church of Jesus Christ, but they were wrong.

Since its inception on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2, the Church has outlived all its detractors, persecutors, haters, adversaries, and enemies.

Those who brag about their opposition to the Church appear to have forgotten history! The Church cannot be destroyed. It’s never going to happen!

In the Book of Acts, when the Church was still young, there were those who tried everything they could to stifle it, but the Church outlasted them.

It is therefore a stretch of the imagination for anyone or any group to believe that the Church will either become extinct or fade into obscurity. The Church’s dominion and dominance are limitless.

The Church will never succumb to another’s dominance; in the end, the Church will stand strong because it is eternal.

The Bible says of the Lord Jesus, the Head of the Church, is in “…the likeness of Melchizedek, who has become a priest, not on the basis of a legal requirement concerning bodily descent, but by the power of an indestructible life” (Hebrews 7:15-16 ESV). Hallelujah!

Dear Father, I rejoice, knowing that the Church of Jesus Christ continues to wax stronger and stronger, marching on in glory. Thank you for the boldness of your children to preach your Word, and the revelation of your truth has granted them the ability to live triumphantly, always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
