Sing The Word This Christmas – Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional December 24th

(Choose Songs That Align With Scripture And Reveal The Meaning Of Christmas)

TO THE BIBLE: Luke 2:11-14 NKJV
“For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”

LET’S TALK
There’s something about Christmas that draws songs from the hearts of men. Streets, homes, and shopping centres come alive with music—melodies old and new, echoing the sounds of celebration. Yet, in all the singing, how many truly sing of Him?

It’s remarkable that at the birth of Jesus, heaven responded with a song. A multitude of the heavenly host appeared, praising God and declaring His glory. Their songs proclaimed the arrival of salvation and peace on earth.

Today, many sing popular Christmas songs—some cheerful and familiar, like “Jingle Bells” or “Dashing Through the Snow.”

Though widely known and beloved by many, such songs lack spiritual substance. They stir emotion, yes, but they do not edify. They may lift your mood, but they have no spiritual meaning.

Christmas is about Jesus—the living Word. It’s a celebration of God’s love manifested in Christ. So, whether it’s Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, or any moment of reflection during this season, let your heart be full of the Word.

Sing the Word. Speak the Word. Think the Word. Choose songs that align with Scripture and magnify the Lord.

When your worship is consistent with the truth of God’s Word, it brings about real transformation. Singing songs that glorify Christ fills your environment with the atmosphere of the Spirit.

Pray:
Dear Father, my heart is filled with joy and gratitude as I celebrate the birth of Christ with a deeper understanding of who Jesus is and what He came to do. Even now, I receive divine revelations, counsel, direction and guidance from your Spirit as I fellowship with you in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Your purpose is fulfilled in my life, and your glory is revealed in and through me, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
