Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional September 16th – “And In That Day…”

(Receive Answers To Your Prayers)

TO THE BIBLE: John 15:16
“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.”

LET’S TALK
During the time of the Old Testament, God’s people always had to resort to their prophets and seers to inquire of the Lord. It wasn’t commonplace for them to talk directly to God in prayer and expect to receive answers from Him.

Thankfully, when Jesus came, He made it clear that it was the Father’s desire for us, in the New Testament, to boldly and confidently talk directly to the Father in prayer, and receive answers: “And in that day you will ask Me nothing.

Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full” (John 16:23-24).

That “day” which Jesus spoke of is not a twenty-four-hour day, but a dispensation; a season in which you could make requests and receive answers to your prayers.

Thank God, that day has come and it’s today! We’ve come into that “day” that Jesus was referring to. If you’re born again, you have the privilege of being able to pray and receive the answers to your prayers instantly: “…Whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them” (Mark 11:24).

There’s no need for you to look for someone to pray to God in your behalf; there’s no need to cry and keep reminding God of your troubles: just ask in faith and in the Name of Jesus, and your requests will be granted.

Always remember that it’s the Father’s delight to answer your prayers; it’s His good pleasure to give you the wonderful treasures of His kingdom (Luke 12:32).

Heavenly Father, I thank you for the privilege and opportunity to fellowship with you in prayer and make my requests known to you. I rejoice at your Word that lets me know that your ears are attentive to my requests and that it’s your good pleasure to grant my heart’s desires. Thank you for this wonderful blessing and privilege, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
