Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional October 8th – Keep Charge Of The House

(Your Body Is Sacred; Take Care Of It)

TO THE BIBLE: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 MSG
“…Didn’t you realize that your body is a sacred place, the place of the Holy Spirit? Don’t you see that you can’t live however you please, squandering what God paid such a high price for? The physical part of you is not some piece of property belonging to the spiritual part of you. God owns the whole works. So let people see God in and through your body.”

LET’S TALK
Do you know your body belongs to God? Yes, it does, because He bought your whole being—spirit, soul, and body—with the precious blood of His Son Jesus.

However, He has made you the caretaker of your body. A caretaker is someone placed in charge of a building or an estate, with the responsibility of ensuring it is maintained in good condition, in such a way that it is comfortable for the people who live in it or make use of it.

As an effective caretaker of God’s property, you must take good care of your physical body. Maintain proper sanitary and hygienic conditions, because you can get sick if you don’t.

A dirty environment attracts all kinds of infections, so you must keep your surroundings neat if you must remain healthy and strong. Ensure also that you don’t overwork your body; give it the rest it deserves.

Understand that whatever happens in your “house” (i.e., your body) is your responsibility. It’s up to you to keep your body strong and in good health.

Don’t allow the devil to attack it with sickness, disease, and infirmity. God has already done all He needs to do about your physical state. He’s made divine health available to you; don’t let anything stop you from living in it.

Look after your “house” carefully, and you’ll enjoy living in it throughout your time here on earth.

Pray:
Heavenly Father, I thank you for teaching me to take care of my body. I’m a good caretaker of this house which you’ve given me. My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit; therefore, I refuse to allow sickness or any kind of infection to attack my body, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
