Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional October 21st – It Takes Guts!

(Go All Out To Preach And Proclaim The Gospel)

TO THE BIBLE: Matthew 28:19-20
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”

LET’S TALK
Apostle Paul was a man of conviction and dedication; he believed and stood his ground for the Gospel of Jesus Christ handed to him.

He boldly declared in 1 Corinthians 9:16, “For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel!”

He was fully determined to do this. Have you come to such a conclusion? Has it dawned on you that necessity is laid upon you to preach the Gospel? Your primary responsibility on earth is to preach the Gospel and fill people’s hearts with the blessed news of Christ’s salvation.

In Romans 1:16, Paul said, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes….” This explains the passion, conviction, fervency and urgency of the Spirit with which he preached the Gospel, even at the peril of his life (Acts 21:13).

Nothing else mattered to him but the preaching of the Gospel. Like the Apostle Paul, we should embrace the preaching of the Gospel with an attitude of conviction and boldness, knowing that this Gospel of the Kingdom has been committed to our trust (1 Timothy 1:11).

I heard the testimony of some Christians who wanted to visit and preach to prisoners but weren’t allowed.

Instead of hanging their heads in discouragement, they got a copy of the nation’s laws and searched for light offences they could commit that would land them in prison for three months!

They needed three glorious months of evangelism in prison, and they got it. That took guts, and it was all for the Gospel!

Christianity isn’t just about getting God to do things for you; it’s an active life of service to the Lord, where you function here on earth as His missionary.

So, have a burning determination borne out of absolute conviction to preach the Gospel everywhere and at all times.
