Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional October 18th – Build Your Life With Words

(You’re The Architect of Your Life)

TO THE BIBLE: Proverbs 18:21
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”

LET’S TALK
The scripture above lets you know you’re the architect of your life. Some people don’t understand this; some others don’t even believe in it, but it doesn’t change the fact that it’s true.

The life you’re living today is the exact picture you painted with your words yesterday. Your talk is your future. Your tongue is the director of your life.

James likened the tongue to the rudder of a great ship with which the captain directs it wherever he wants (James 3:2). This means that where your tongue goes, your life goes.

If your tongue speaks poverty, lack, want, or sickness, that’s the way your life will be. But if you speak health, wealth, success, and abundance, that’s what you’ll also have in your life.

I can’t emphasise this strongly enough, but your life today is the result of what you said years ago. Who you are today is the result of what you said yesterday.

Remember, what we read in our opening scripture: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” This means you can build your life with your tongue; your tongue will produce for you a harvest of what you say, good or bad.

This ought to make you glad. It means you have control over your own life. Nobody else can steer your life in a direction you don’t want it to go, except you let them.

Now that you know you’re responsible for how your life turns out, make a quality decision to speak only the right words—God’s Word—about yourself, and you’ll surely have a glorious and successful life.
