Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional May 8th – Why Did Jesus Come?

(The Mission Has Been Fulfilled)

TO THE BIBLE: John 10:10
“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

LET’S TALK
Why did Jesus come? Over two thousand years have passed since the Lord Jesus arose victoriously from the grave, and this question remains the most asked question ever.

At the crucifixion, Jesus went through a great deal of pain. He was wounded, bruised, beaten, abused and made a public spectacle. He was spat on, and a crown of thorns was made for His head.

Then He was crucified and left to die between two thieves like a criminal.
Though men rejected Him, He didn’t condemn man in His hour of agony but gave Himself as a ransom for all.

His suffering came to a climax when He cried out, “…“Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?” which is translated, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”” (Mark 15:34). David, in Psalm 22:1, also asked, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?

Why are You so far from helping Me, and from the words of My groaning?” Maybe you’ve also asked God this question, “Why me? God, why should this happen to me?”

Jesus went through a lot of pain and suffering to put an end to this cry of many. He took your place, and He did it so you could live triumphantly.

He came to give you a new identity and awaken you to the Fatherhood of God. Now you’re a child of God, and you’ve got His life and divinity in you. What glorious news!

He endured the pain for you; He suffered so you never need to suffer. He did it all for you. You could never repay Him; rather you can thank Him from the bottom of your heart today.
