Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional April 24th – Use God’s Light

(The Entrance Of God’s Word Brings Light)

TO THE BIBLE: Psalm 119:19
“I am a stranger in the earth; do not hide Your commandments from me.”

LET’S TALK
The words of our opening verse today were spoken by King David. He was wise enough to know he was a stranger on the earth. His expression here shows us something remarkable about his insatiable longing for God’s Word; he said, “…do not hide Your commandments from me.”

Why was David so passionate about the Word of God, one might wonder? You’ll see the answer in Psalm 119:105: “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

He knew the Word would help and guide him in life; it was a lamp to give him light, and a light to illuminate his path. The entrance of the Word into his spirit gave him understanding and light (Psalm 119:130).

The world is immersed in spiritual darkness, and that’s why you need the light of God’s Word to navigate your way and chart your course through life victoriously. Be passionate about the Word; let it guide and direct your steps!

God’s Word is the light that shows you what reality (truth) is; that’s what reveals the real you. Through the light of God’s Word, you see the beautiful things God has deposited in your spirit. You see that you’re more than a conqueror and that nothing is impossible to you.

There’s so much glory and beauty inside you, but you can only see these good things under the light of God’s Word. God’s Word is the true light.

As you study and meditate on it, your path in life will be flooded with light, and you’ll keep growing from glory to glory.
