Rhapsody of Realities TeeVo Devotional 3rd June – Prioritise Your Time

Thursday, June 3 – PRIORITISE YOUR TIME
(Invest Your Time And Energy In Spiritual Things)

TO THE BIBLE: Ephesians 5:15-16 TLB
“…Be careful how you act; these are difficult days. Don’t be fools; be wise: make the most of every opportunity you have for doing good.”

LET’S TALK
Time is God’s gift to you and a fixed asset, which you must learn to invest wisely. It’s only twenty-four hours in each day, so you’ve got to prioritise all you do. Investing your time wisely means investing your time in spiritual things. As a Christian, the Word of God must be the topmost priority to you; therefore, you must find or create time out of your day to fellowship with the Lord.

Moses said in Psalm 90:12, “…Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” Here, he was talking about scheduling. You need to create the time to study the Word and schedule your prayer times because your future depends on it. When you wake up in the morning, don’t just roll off your bed and go blindly about your day. Spend quality time first to fellowship with the Holy Spirit in prayer and in the Word.

Ask Him to guide you as you schedule your activities for the day and prioritise your activities. Ask Him to help you save time, and you’d discover how much you’re able to accomplish for the Kingdom daily. Then, you’ll become more productive, effective and progressive. Choose always to be spiritually alert so that when you are faced with a difficult situation, it’ll meet you well prepared, and you’ll know what to do. Remember that life’s got no extra time, so make every day count by doing only those things that will advance the Kingdom of God and improve your life.

Pray
Dear Father, I thank you for the guidance of your Spirit in my life, and the wisdom that you impart to me every day. I’m continually surrendered to the Lordship of your Word. Thus, my steps are ordered in victory, success, and excellence, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
