Rhapsody of Realities TeeVo Devotional 18th July – Success Is No Accident

(You’ve Got The Success Genes In You, So Make It Happen!)

TO THE BIBLE: Psalm 1:3 CEV
“They are like trees growing beside a stream, trees that produce fruit in season and always have leaves. Those people succeed in everything they do.”

LET’S TALK
“Lucas, what are you doing? You’ve been sitting under that apple tree for quite a while now?” Jeff asked his little brother.
“I’ve been waiting and hoping that one of these juicy red apples will fall off the tree so I can have it,” Lucas answered.

“Well, you may wait a very long time and still not have any of those apples fall to the ground. Here, let me pluck a few for you,” Jeff said as he grabbed a ladder.

Many, like young Lucas, hope and wait all their lives for good things to “drop” in their laps. However, God’s best isn’t for you to wait for good things to “fall” on or happen to you.

He’d rather have you prepare to get the best out of life because the future belongs to those who prepare for it.

For example, the Bible tells us that Jesus Christ died for the whole world; He consummated the work of salvation and made it available to everyone in the world.

But sadly, some people would still go to hell, not because the salvation was inadequate, but because they chose not to accept it.

In the same way, you’re the offspring of success, but just because you’ve got the genes of success in you doesn’t mean you’re going to live up to your calling.

You’ve got to do something about it; you’ve got to choose to be a success. Organise yourself for it. Plan for it and work towards it.

Success and failure are neither accidental nor mysterious. If you consistently practise the principles of success according to God’s Word, you’re guaranteed to experience good success in every area of your life.

On the other hand, the one who lives without vision, purpose and a sense of direction will fail miserably in life.

We’re now in the second half of the year, a good time to reorganise and restrategise by the Spirit to win and be a victor at every count. Remember, it’s not enough to hope for success; you make it happen. It’s a choice that you must make.
