How Do You See? – Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional May 3rd

(Only Imagine Positive Outcomes)

TO THE BIBLE: Ephesians 3:20 NIV
“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.”

LET’S TALK
“I said it, I said it!” Maureen yelled tearfully.
“Um, what did you say?” Fred interrogated her, not understanding why she was sobbing.
“I saw it coming—my not being able to make the cut for Coach’s badminton team—I knew this would happen, and it has!” she wailed.

“You really shouldn’t imagine negative outcomes, Maureen, because that’s probably why you weren’t selected. It’s not too late; start seeing yourself as part of the team and say so too!” After following Fred’s guidance, Maureen was called upon to replace a player who left the squad a couple of days later.

You see, the human spirit is very powerful, with tremendous creative and imaginative ability. Remember, man was created in the image of God; he looks like God and functions like God.

That’s why we say, “Your imaginative power is your creative ability.” Knowing this, therefore, you should only imagine positive outcomes.

Refuse to worry about anything. Worry helps you imagine the worst-case scenario. Worry helps you imagine negative possibilities, and your imagination of those negative possibilities crystallises them.

Worry helps make your fears possible. It’s the reason God tells us not to worry or be anxious for nothing (Philippians 4:6). You may say, “What if something has gone wrong? Should I be worried?” No! Simply refuse to worry!

It makes no difference what happens with the economy, health care, or health “scare.” When you worry, you set up a magnetic force that attracts to you everything that’s consistent with what you’re worried about.

Never imagine that you may be sent out of school. Don’t worry or panic that money isn’t going to be available to you for the things you need to accomplish.

Don’t worry that the pain you’re feeling may be more complicated than you realise or could result in an incurable disease. Never have or form such negative imaginations. What you imagine is what becomes. Keep your mind on the Word and let it control your expectations.
