Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional July 19th – Reign And Rule As A King

(You Were Born To Reign In Righteousness)

TO THE BIBLE: 1 Peter 2:9 NIV
“…You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

LET’S TALK
When you listen to the prayer content of some Christians, you’d discover that it’s full of inconsistencies with their kingly office. They say things like “O God, I’m begging you to please help me out of this trouble.” That’s not the prayer language of the righteous.

Never beg God to do anything for you, pray in accordance with His Word and make your decrees in the Name of Jesus. That’s how to pray as a righteous king-priest unto God.

Righteousness is God’s nature, and that nature was imparted to you when you were born again. Isaiah 32:1 says, “See, a king will reign in righteousness and rulers will rule with justice” (NIV).

Romans 5:17 (NIV) also says, “For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!” God has made us kings (Revelation 1:6) and we reign through righteousness.

You shouldn’t reason or talk like those of the world anymore. Don’t tolerate or meditate on thoughts of fear, failure and defeat. The consciousness of your righteousness will cause you to walk in dominion and speak with authority.

Job 22:28 says “You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you; so light will shine on your ways.” Kings don’t beg; they subdue and take dominion.

By virtue of the new life you have in Christ and your position as God’s righteous king-priest, refuse to talk failure or lack; boldly declare prosperity, health and progress for you and your loved ones, and you’d see them come to pass!

Speak:
I’m reigning in life as a king, exercising dominion over all the forces of nature and authority over circumstances that are inconsistent with God’s Word. My words are backed with the power to alter negative situations. Every word I speak today comes to pass in the Name of Jesus because I recognise my place as a righteous king-priest unto God! Amen.
