Do What The Word Says – Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional September 5th

(Keep Acting Your Faith)

TO THE BIBLE: James 1:22-25
“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.”

LET’S TALK
Have you ever felt like you tried to do what the Bible says—prayed, believed, even declared Scriptures—but it seemed like nothing changed? Well, you wouldn’t be the first to have that experience.

But here’s something important: Faith isn’t magic; faith is a walk. And just like a child learning to walk, you may wobble, stumble, or fall at first. But you don’t stop trying. You keep going. And the more you do, the stronger and better you get.

The Bible tells us in James 1:22 that it’s not enough to just hear the Word—we have to do it. That’s where the blessing is.

You could talk about God’s Word all day, post verses on your social media, even teach others, but if you’re not living it out, you’re missing the blessing.

So how do you “do” the Word? You practice it, every day. For example, in your health, the first thing is to know what the Word says.

The Bible says, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers” (3 John 1:2). Therefore, it’s clear: God’s plan for you is divine health!

There should be no cancer, diabetes, or any such thing in your body. Grasp this truth and live by it, and if you experience any symptoms of sickness in your body, don’t panic.

Use the Word! Keep declaring, “I have the life of God in me. I walk in divine health. No sickness, disease or infirmity can thrive in my body.”

Do the same in your finances; keep practising the Word and exercising your faith. You may say, “But the other day, I declared in the Name of Jesus that I’m getting one million dollars and it didn’t happen.”

Maybe you’re not yet at the level where your faith can work for one million dollars; howbeit, don’t give up. As long as you refuse to cower or stagger through unbelief, your faith will certainly prevail. Praise God!
