(The Rapture Will Take Place Once The Set Number Is Reached)

TO THE BIBLE: Romans 11:25

“For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.”

LET’S TALK

In Romans 11:22-25, Paul talks about Jews and Gentiles and how God’s salvation plan includes both. He uses an olive tree as a metaphor to explain it.

In verse 24, he says: “For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, who are natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?”

Israel as a nation is currently “blind” when it comes to recognizing Jesus as the Messiah. But this doesn’t mean every Jewish person rejects Him—many have believed since the time of the apostles.

The book of Acts even records that thousands of Jews accepted Jesus as their Savior. However, as a nation, Israel hasn’t fully recognized Him yet.

The verse also says: “Blindness in part has happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.” The Amplified Classic version explains it like this: “A hardening [insensibility] has [temporarily] befallen a part of Israel [to last] until the full number of the ingathering of the Gentiles has come in.”

Sequel to our study yesterday, we see that there’s a set number of people worldwide who will accept Jesus, and once that number is reached, the Rapture will happen.

So what does that mean for you? It’s a call to action! Every time someone accepts Jesus, we’re moving closer to the fulfillment of God’s plan.

This should motivate you to share the Gospel because you play a part in bringing more people into God’s family and getting them ready for the catching up alive!

Pray:

Dear Father, thank you for your grace for salvation that’s been poured out all over the world. Souls are being won to Christ in large numbers as your children preach the Gospel in their immediate sphere and in regions beyond. The veil of darkness is removed, and the full number of the Ingathering is coming in, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
