(The Virgin Birth Of Jesus Confirms His Deity)

TO THE BIBLE: Matthew 1:23 NKJV
“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”

LET’S TALK
When we declare that Jesus Christ is deity, we affirm that He is God. This is not a light statement; it is truth revealed in Scripture. Around the world, many regard Him merely as a prophet or a great teacher.

While such descriptions may sound honourable, they fall far short of His true identity.

To truly know who Jesus is, we must look at the miracle of His birth. The Scriptures describe it as unlike anything in history.

Matthew 1:18 (NKJV) says, “Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.”

Mary’s conception was a miracle. Before she and Joseph came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. Joseph, not realising this was God’s doing, considered ending their engagement quietly.

But in a dream, an angel of the Lord revealed to him that this was not of man, but of God. The angel declared, “…that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins” (Matthew 1:20–21 NKJV).

What makes this account even more remarkable is that it was the fulfilment of prophecy. The Word had already declared, “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us” (Matthew 1:23 NKJV).

Glory to God! Jesus was not born by natural means; His birth was divine. He is Emmanuel, God with us. His miraculous birth is proof of His deity and His divine origin. He is not just a prophet, not merely a teacher; He is God revealed in the flesh.

Dear Father, thank You for revealing the deity of Jesus Christ through the Scriptures. I acknowledge that Jesus is indeed God. I rejoice in the truth of His divine nature, and I celebrate His supernatural birth that brought salvation to the world. Thank You for making me a partaker of Your divine life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
