(Dominate Your World)
TO THE BIBLE: Genesis 22:17 KJV
“…and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies.”
LET’S TALK
Not long ago, I watched a documentary about an ancient city surrounded by mighty walls and fortified gates. Those gates weren’t just entry points; they represented power, authority, and control. Whoever controlled the gate ruled the city.
It reminds me of God’s declaration to Abraham after he offered Isaac to be sacrificed: “Thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies.” What a profound promise!
Now, this wasn’t merely about physical territory—it was about dominion. In Bible days, the gate of a city was where leaders made decisions, where trade happened, and justice was executed.
So when God said Abraham’s seed would possess the gate, He was declaring dominion in every sphere of influence—spiritually, economically, and politically. Glory to God!
And here’s what’s even more amazing: this promise wasn’t for Abraham alone. Galatians 3:16 reveals that “the seed” is Christ—and if you belong to Christ, then you’re Abraham’s seed and an heir according to the promise.
That means you’re the one to possess the gates! You’re not at the mercy of circumstances or the systems of this world. You’ve been empowered to reign, to subdue, and to influence your world for Jesus Christ.
You can take charge in your school, online spaces, your family, or anywhere God places you. How? Through prayer, your words, and your attitude of faith. When things look dark, don’t stay quiet. Don’t allow evil to dominate your environment. Refuse to sit idly by. Speak the Word with authority and take charge in the Name of Jesus!
Exercise dominion in every area of your life and your world. You’re not here to barely survive—you’re here to reign! So, rise up and speak. Take charge through prayer, your faith-filled declarations, and action.
Don’t watch evil dominate your environment; cast it out. Possess the “gates” through the authority in the Name of Jesus.
