(Subject Your Body To His Divine Influence)

TO THE BIBLE: Romans 8:11 AMPC
“And if the Spirit of Him Who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, [then] He Who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also restore to life your mortal (short-lived, perishable) bodies through His Spirit Who dwells in you.”

LET’S TALK
Just as flowers bloom when exposed to sunlight, so also does the human body respond to the influence it is subjected to. A wilted plant, once positioned under the rays of the sun, begins to flourish again. That’s the power of influence.

In the same way, when your body is yielded to the divine influence of the Holy Spirit, it is invigorated and revitalized. If natural sunlight can restore life to a dying plant, how much more the supernatural power of the Spirit when you yield yourself to Him in prayer!

One powerful way to subject your body to this divine influence is through praying in the Spirit—praying in tongues. Each time you do, you activate the latent power of the Spirit within you.

Scripture tells us that when the Holy Spirit takes up residence in us, He vitalizes—gives life to—our mortal bodies (Romans 8:11). Once, your body was on a path toward weakness and decline, but now, with the Holy Spirit in you, it’s life upon life! Glory to God.

Think of Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration: “As He prayed, the appearance of His face was altered, and His robe became white and glistening” (Luke 9:29 NKJV). His body was literally transfigured as He prayed. The power of the Spirit surged through Him and radiated outward, even affecting His garments.

That’s the same experience God intends for you. When you pray in the Spirit, currents of divine electricity flow through your being. Sickness cannot remain where the Power of the Holy Spirit is active!

Every child of God has this power within, but you must acknowledge it. As you yield to the Holy Spirit and consciously allow His life to course through you, abnormalities, pains, or inflammations give way to divine health. The Spirit sanctifies your body, making manifest the life of Christ in your physical frame.

This is God’s plan: that the life of Christ be revealed not only in your spirit and soul, but also in your body. No rashes, no growths, no disease! Hallelujah! Live in this consciousness, pray often in the Spirit, and enjoy perpetual health. Blessed be God!
