(True Satisfaction Is In Living For The Lord)
TO THE BIBLE: Romans 14:8 NKJV
“For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.”
LET’S TALK
A lot of people go through life chasing satisfaction and struggling with inner restlessness. They get stressed about everything, school, relationships, the future. But often, what they’re really missing is the understanding of what it means to live unto Christ.
To live unto Him means your joy comes from what makes Him happy, and your displeasure only shows up where His displeasure is.
That’s the secret to real peace! You stop living based on feelings or personal offence and instead live to please the One who owns your life.
If you truly live unto the Lord, then it’s no longer about what offends you, or who did what to you. You’re not moved by petty issues anymore because you’re living for something far higher—you’re living for the Lord.
Think about the story in 1 Samuel 8:4–7. The elders of Israel asked the prophet Samuel for a king. Samuel was hurt by their request, but when he took it to the Lord, God told him something powerful: “They haven’t rejected you; they’ve rejected Me.”
Wow! Samuel felt personally offended, but God opened his eyes to see the bigger picture—it wasn’t about him.
This is what happens when you live unto the Lord: you become spiritually mature. You learn to let go of offences quickly.
You stay focused on your purpose in Christ. Your life becomes one long song of joy and victory, because your satisfaction is rooted in Him.
So, don’t let emotions, hurts, or pride rule you. Live unto Him—gladly, boldly, and full of joy. That’s the life of glory!
