The Name Above All Names – Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional July 11th

(The Name as A Place of Refuge)

TO THE BIBLE: Matthew 28:18-19
“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations….’“

LET’S TALK
After His resurrection, the Lord Jesus instructed His disciples to meet Him on a certain mountain in Galilee. There, He declared to them that all authority in heaven and in earth had been given unto Him. That means men, angels, demons, things in heaven, earth and under the earth are subject to Jesus and must obey His voice.

However, Jesus is presently in heaven, and He doesn’t exercise His authority from there. The way He exercises his authority today is through us—His Church, which is His Body.

That’s why He said to us, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations….” The Master delegated His authority to us to function in His Name and make disciples of the nations of the earth on His behalf.

In His Name, you have the power to cast out devils, tame the forces of nature, and mobilise angels to work for your good. When you’re conscious of this reality, you’ll win, no matter what comes against you.

Think of it like being given the master key to every door in the school—you can walk through any obstacle and succeed.

Jesus gave you the power of attorney (the right, influence, and legal power) to act in His place! Whatever you declare in His name, He’s back of it; therefore, be bold to use the Name of Jesus to effect changes in your school atmosphere, your family life, or any toxic situation you might face.

Let it dawn on your spirit that Jesus has given you His authority. The enemy and his forces may try to intimidate you, but when you command them in the Name of Jesus, they’ve got to obey!

The power that created and sustains the universe is backing you. Use your authority in Christ Jesus to effect a change.

Pray:
Precious Lord Jesus, thank you for giving me the power of attorney to act in your stead. I take full advantage of the authority you’ve given me, and declare that as I function by the power of your Name, I put a stop to every evil work around me, and endorse only those things that are consistent with your plans and purposes for me. Amen.
