(God’s Desire Is That You Live A Productive Life)

TO THE BIBLE: 2 Peter 1:5 NKJV
“But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge.”

LET’S TALK
God doesn’t want us to live unproductive lives; He wants us to be successful in everything (John 15:8). I can’t imagine not being productive—it’s inconsistent with my nature! I’m always making progress. I’m always moving forward. That’s the life He’s called us to live.

Sadly, that’s not the reality of many Christians. Their lives aren’t productive, and they struggle with success. However, the Scriptures reveal key factors for a consistently productive and fruitful life, and that’s what I’m going to be teaching you for the next couple of days.

The very first factor for that is in our opening scripture—virtue. Virtue means moral excellence. It’s living by divine principles revealed in God’s Word, not by feelings or circumstances.

For example, the Bible tells us that Jesus went to the house of God. “He went to Nazareth, where He had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day He went into the synagogue, as was His custom” (Luke 4:16 NIV).

It was His custom to go there. Is that your custom? Some people go to church if they feel like it; and then, if they don’t feel like it, they don’t go—no standards! The Bible says, “as His custom was.” It was customary for Jesus to go.

You’ve got to have that kind of life—that kind of principle. When it’s time for church, cell meeting, or prayer, you’re there! Don’t let “I don’t feel like it” be your excuse. Saying, “I’ll go if I’m not too tired,” means your life is being run by feelings, not by principles.

Also, don’t just study the Word of God accidentally—no! Be intentional about it. Decide that you’re going to study the Word every day. Set your targets, feed your spirit, and grow in the knowledge of God. When virtue becomes your way of life, success and progress will naturally follow. Hallelujah!

Speak:
I’m full of excellence, strength, and integrity! The Word of God has set the standard for my life, and I live by it every day. I refuse to be ruled by feelings or influenced by the world. My thoughts, actions, and decisions are guided by divine principles. My character is strong, dependable, and inspiring. I walk in moral excellence, and my life is a reflection of God’s glory. I’m fruitful, effective, and productive in all I do, and through me, others are inspired to live for Christ. Hallelujah!
