The Matchless Authority Of Jesus’ Name – Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional March 20th

(The Eternal Supremacy of Jesus’ Name)

TO THE BIBLE: John 14:13-14
“And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.”

LET’S TALK
A student carrying a school ID card has access to the library, labs, and even exams, not because of their own name but because the school recognizes the authority behind that card.

In the same way, when we pray in the Name of Jesus, heaven responds not because of our own merit, but because of the authority and power vested in His Name.

The Name of Jesus holds unparalleled significance. So, understanding the power behind His matchless Name is crucial for every Christian.

In Colossians 1:16-19, the Apostle Paul emphasizes the pre-eminence of the Lord Jesus: “For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him: and He is before all things, and by Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things He might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in Him should all fullness dwell.”

Observe that it says, “All things were created by Him and for Him—Jesus.” This means that everything in existence, whether visible or invisible, whether thrones, dominions, principalities, or powers, owes its existence to the Lord Jesus.

Also, Ephesians 1:21 (AMPC) unequivocally declares that the Lord Jesus is “far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age and the world which are to come.” Therefore, praying in the Name of Jesus is not a religious formality; it’s a privilege, an honour beyond description.

His Name is the greatest Name in heaven, on earth, and under the earth. The Bible tells us in Philippians 2:9-10, “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow….”

Using the Name of Jesus in prayer means you have access to all that He is and all that He has. It means you’re operating with His authority and divine power. When you pray in His Name, you’re aligning yourself with the One who created all things and holds all things together. Hallelujah!
