King Of Glory – Rhapsody Of Realities TeeVo Devotional February 8th

(His supreme authority over heaven and earth)

TO THE BIBLE: Romans 10:13
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

LET’S TALK
In our previous study, we saw that our authority as Christians comes from heaven. We rule from heaven!

However, the foundation for using this authority is rooted in your faith and your personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

The Name of Jesus is the “master key” to your salvation and divine authority. From the very moment you accepted Christ, your confession of His Lordship was the “launch pad” for your life in Him.

God’s people need to be trained in the understanding of the Lordship of Jesus; He’s the Master of our lives.

This means He has the “final say” over your words, your thoughts, your choices, and your future.

The most beautiful thing about this is that His Lordship isn’t about control; it’s a Lordship of love.

We’re the objects of His great love! We yield to the lordship of His love because, as the Bible says, we love Him because He first loved us (1 John 4:19).

This is the real reason we worship Him the way we do. It’s why we kneel to Him in adoration—not just because it’s “what Christians do,” but because we truly recognize Him as our Boss and King.

If you don’t recognize Him as Lord, then kneeling is just a mere ritual. You kneel because He is your Master, and you bow in reverence to His authority. You might say, “But even though He’s my Lord, He’s also my best friend.” That is 100% true!

However, being a friend of the King doesn’t mean you treat Him like a classmate. A true friend of the King honours the King with the highest regard.

As a friend of Jesus, your respect for Him should be the “gold standard” for others to follow. You should honour Him even more.

He’s the great King of glory, Lord over all, and Ruler of heaven and earth. He knows exactly who He is; He’s incredibly great, yet He’s totally obsessed with you!

He said to His disciples, “If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet” (John 13:14).

He showed us that true greatness is found in humility. He didn’t need a bio full of titles to prove who He was; His power is just part of who He is. Honour Him with your life. Honour Him in your worship and every single action today.

Pray:
Dear Lord Jesus, I acknowledge your lordship over my life. You are my Master, my King and the Lord over all. You alone are God and have immortality dwelling in unapproachable light. You’re the ruler of heaven and earth; I worship and adore you, and to you be all honour, glory, and everlasting power. Amen.
