(We’re The Expressions Of His Righteousness)

TO THE BIBLE: 2 Corinthians 5:21 NKJV
“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

LET’S TALK
Our opening scripture is one of the most astonishing truths at the heart of the Gospel. The apostle Paul writes, “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21 NKJV).

These aren’t just words to inspire; they’re declarations of identity. The Lord Jesus didn’t simply bear your sin; He became sin in your place so that you would not only be forgiven but also be made the righteousness of God Himself.

This is Christianity. This is the Gospel. We’re the expression of God’s goodness, kindness, grace, wisdom, power and glory.

To be righteous in Christ is not merely to do good things or live by moral rules. It is to be an expression of God’s very nature — His purity, kindness, justice and grace.

This is what Jesus meant when He said, “He who has seen Me has seen the Father” (John 14:9 NKJV). He was the express image of the Father, the facsimile, the print copy or profile of the Father — the ultimate icon of God.

We are exactly like Him. 1 John 4:17 says, “As He is, so are we in this world.” Like Jesus, we are the expression of the will and character of God. That is one of the definitions of righteousness: the expression of the will and nature of God.

Therefore, having been made His righteousness, we have the ability to manifest and express the will and nature of the Father everywhere—in every situation, in every event, and in every matter. Blessed be God!
