“I thank my God I speak with tongues more than you all.”

LET’S TALK
Human languages vary greatly in sound because of geography, culture, and ethnicity. For example, someone who speaks English in Texas sounds quite different from someone in Kenya or Australia.

But when these same people switch to speaking in tongues, they suddenly sound the same. That’s the beauty of tongues—it proves the Holy Spirit is the source.

When you speak in tongues, you’re speaking a divine language that isn’t tied to nationality, accent, or region.

It’s heavenly. You can’t tell where someone is from by hearing them pray in tongues. Whether they’re Nigerian, Indian, American, British, or Chinese, their voice in prayer sounds unified—carrying what you could call the Holy Ghost accent.

I once did a study where individuals from different countries recorded themselves praying in tongues. No photos. No videos. Just audio. As I listened, I realized something remarkable: I couldn’t identify their nationality or accent.

Why? Because praying in tongues isn’t a human language—it’s the language of the Spirit. It’s supernatural.

Even more amazing, when groups from different continents prayed in tongues, they still sounded like they were from the same place. And truly, they are—from Christ.

That’s why the Bible says, “For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body… and have all been made to drink into one Spirit” (1 Corinthians 12:13 NKJV).

This spiritual language connects us across nations and cultures—it’s undeniable proof of the Holy Spirit’s work in us.

So don’t take it lightly. Speak in tongues every day, everywhere. Like the Apostle Paul, who said, “I thank my God I speak with tongues more than you all” (1 Corinthians 14:18 NKJV), let it be an essential part of your life.

When you speak in tongues, you’re releasing divine power and building up your spirit. It’s how your life moves from one level of glory to another.
