(Let The Rivers Of Living Water Flow From Inside You)

TO THE BIBLE: John 7:38
“He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

LET’S TALK
The words of the Master in the scripture above are meant to be real and tangible in the life of every Christian. He said, “Out of your belly shall flow rivers of living water.”

John 7:39 further explains, “But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive.” He was referring to the Holy Spirit in chapter 38.

Isaiah 55:10 gives us another picture: “The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. It is the same with my word.”

And Proverbs 18:4 adds to it: “The words of a man’s mouth are deep waters; The wellspring of wisdom is a flowing brook.”

The Amplified Classic: “The words of a [discreet and wise] man’s mouth are like deep waters [plenteous and difficult to fathom], and the fountain of skillful and godly Wisdom is like a gushing stream [sparkling, fresh, pure, and life-giving].” That’s powerful! Words that come from the Holy Spirit are full of life and energy!

In Acts 10:44, something amazing happened. Peter was talking about Jesus in Cornelius’ house, and while he was still speaking, the Holy Spirit came on everyone listening!

His words, powered by the Holy Spirit, were like those rivers of living water, bringing life to everyone there.

When you receive the Holy Spirit, your words carry that same power. The Lord Jesus said in John 6:63, “The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.”

His words opened blind eyes (John 9:6-7), cast out demons (Mark 5:1-20), raised the dead (John 11:43-44), and calmed storms (Mark 4:39). He even spoke to the wind and waves, and they listened! (Matthew 8:26-27)

Now, your words have that same power when you speak by the Spirit. You can tell sickness to leave your body, command healing in your heart or lungs, and speak life into any situation.

Practice speaking God’s Word over your life. Let those rivers of living water flow from inside you, words filled with life and power from the Holy Spirit.

Dear Father, thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit who fills me with power and purpose. My words are spirit and life because of your Spirit within me. I continually speak words that align with your truth and bring transformation to my world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
