(Salvation Is Only In The Name Of Jesus)
TO THE BIBLE: ACTS 4:12
“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
LET’S TALK
Aiden stood in the middle of the park, preaching. “Jesus is the only way to God,” he said firmly. “There’s no other name by which we can be saved.”
“That’s a bold claim. What about other religions? Don’t they lead to God too?” an elderly lady asked.
Aiden shook his head. “Jesus didn’t say He was one of the ways—He said, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me’. He was clear about it.”
The elderly lady frowned. “But isn’t that a bit exclusive? What about people who follow other faiths sincerely?”
“Sincerity doesn’t equal truth,” Aiden replied gently. “If someone is sincerely heading in the wrong direction, it won’t get them to the right place. Jesus is the only one who conquered death, ascended to heaven, and offers salvation to all who believe in Him.”
The Bible is clear on the topic of salvation: there’s no other way to be saved except through Jesus. Acts 4:12 says, “There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
This statement gives us no chance to think that there might be some other means for salvation. Salvation is only in the Name of Jesus; the Lord Himself was definite about this.
Some people believe there are many ways to get to God. They say Jesus is just one of the ways. But before accepting that, ask them: How do they know? Who told them? Have they actually made it to God? If they can’t prove it, then their claim holds no weight.
The Lord Jesus Himself made it crystal clear in John 14:6, where He unambiguously declared, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Notice He didn’t say, “I am one of the ways”—He said, “I am THE way.” That means there’s only one path to God, and it’s through the Lord Jesus Christ.
How do we know this is true? Because Jesus didn’t just say it—He proved it! Unlike the founders of other religions, Jesus didn’t stay in the grave. He rose from the dead and ascended into heaven alive—right in front of 120 witnesses! They literally saw Him ascend into the clouds.
And what’s more glorious is that the Lord Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He’s alive, and His Name still has power today; that’s why we see so many mighty miracles happening around the world. These miracles are a testimony that He’s alive. Hallelujah!
