Rhapsody of Realities TeeVo Devotional 25th July – He Powers You Up

(The Holy Spirit Helps You Do The Impossible)

TO THE BIBLE: Acts 1:8
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

LET’S TALK
Before Jesus’ ascension, He said to His disciples, “What comes next is very important: I am sending what my Father promised to you, so stay here in the city until he arrives, until you’re equipped with power from on high” (Luke 24:49 MSG).

Then in our opening verse above, He said to them, “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you…” Why is this important? It is because there’s no Christianity without the power of the Holy Spirit! What is power?

The word translated as “power” in Acts 1:8 is the Greek “dunamis,” which means inherent power, the dynamic ability to effect changes. It also means miracle-working ability. It refers to the ability to do the impossible.

If you’re born again and have received the Holy Spirit, you’ve received the ability to do the impossible—a supernatural ability! It’s the creative ability of God. Now, that same Holy Spirit lives in you. Therefore, you have the divine ability to accomplish any task and change hopeless situations.

The Holy Spirit is your power-up; with Him, you can never be defeated or disadvantaged. If you want the glory of God in your life, if you’re going to walk in dominion over devils, sickness, and death, then the Holy Spirit is all you need. His presence in your life makes you indomitable!

Like Paul, be bold to say, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). The Holy Spirit lives in you; you’re not helpless or ordinary. He’s the power of God and the power-giver. So walk with Him, and it’ll be victory, success, and miracles for you all the way!
